In addition to presenting scientific research that documents the healing powers of connecting to the body from the fields of somatic psychology, interpersonal-neurobiology, somatic experiencing and focusing oriented therapy.

Join us in a meditative experience deepened through the usage of the Lucia No.3 from the Sky Studio.

The Lucia No.3 is hypnagogic light machine that stimulates EEG brain wave patterns that usually only appear after a devoted meditation practice. Research has demonstrated that the Lucia No.3. allows you to experience altered state of consciousness.. This is due to white light passing through the retina stimulating the pineal gland. Those who meditate with the Lucia No.3 often speak of experiences of deep relaxation, meditative self awareness, feelings of well being, a renewed sense of energy, mystical experiences and sacred geometry. Without substances or special exercises, simply close your eyes, lay back, let go and trust that the Lucia No.3 will do the rest...

Practicing mindfulness has a positive impact on health and the potential for even greater impact when applied to our relationship with food. This two and half hour workshop will be facilitated from the philosophy that our relationship with food mirrors the relationship we have with ourselves - first. Together we will use self-compassion, acceptance and curiosity to explore how the practice of mindfulness translates into greater awareness around thoughts in the mind and what we munch on.

In our time together we will investigate…

  • How food affects both body and mind from an interpersonal neurobiology informed perspective

  • How to identifying hunger and fullness

  • How to listen to your inner wisdom and tune in with a body-mind connection

  • How to to develop a more compassionate attitude toward your body and your food habits

  • How the concept of cravings, emotions, and stress relate to eating from a somatic psychology perspective

You won't find any dieting tips, nutritional advice or meal plans during this workshop but instead will be presented with the tools needed to cultivate more presence in your body to discern how to nourish. Remember: you are the only person who lives in your body, therefore you (and only you are) truly know what you need to feel whole and full.

This workshop will include discussions, mindfulness and munching. All participants will receive a booklet.

This workshop is based on Intuitive Eating an evidence based practice.

A Workshop On How to Hold Compassion and Consequence Simultaneously. Facilitated by Meghan Campbell of Megan Talks and Ailey Jolie.

Western psychology emphasizes pathology, diagnosing, individualism and demands accountability. Eastern psychology emphasizes diversity, oneness, community, and aims for understanding.

We all have a preference for one or the other dependent on the environment we grew up in and the spaces we feel most at home in as adults. But both psychological perspectives provide problematic situations when they are not held equally. The consequences of western psychology are evident when we look outwards at society but what about the darker aspects of eastern psychology hiding in the shadows of spiritual spiritual communities. Specifically the unspoken phenomena of spiritual bypassing.

Spiritual bypassing is the use of spiritual practices and beliefs to avoid dealing with our painful feelings, unresolved wounds, and developmental needs. Spirituality when used appropriately can inspire more compassionate living but when used inappropriately can be used to deny reality and negate consequence.

This workshop is an exploration of identifying when spiritual practices and attitudes distort reality and shift accountability. Using eastern and western psychologies individual emphasis on compassion or consequence, together we will explore the middle ground of acceptance.

Who Is This For

self care not sick care.

@ 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

We live in a culture obsessed with health and wellness but many of these framed “self-care” practices are only reinforcing “sick-care”. One in five women struggle with a form of disordered eating and approximately only one out of twenty women ever receive help. Our culture is disordered around food and body, it’s impossible for anyone man, woman or non-binary folk to be immune.

A lack of awareness around disordered eating in combination with diet cultures infiltration of the wellness sphere has created an epidemic of disordered eating masquerading as “self-care”.

Spend an evening exploring the most #hashtagable wellness trends from the lens of an eating disorder specialist. From colonics to ketogenics - no topic is too taboo. With self-compassion as an ally, together we will explore where self-care has become sick-care and how you can cultivate your own inner skeptic to settle into a self-care setup that is authentic to you and allows you to find the nourishment that allows you to fully flourish.

In “honour” of International Women’s Day, we've chosen to come together with some of our favourite people to celebrate our collective infinite power in the process of honouring the beauty of our fullness, our wholeness, and the simple fact that we have everything we need within us.

Through the lens of the 5 love languages, we'll look inward to ourselves. The 5 love languages are normally understood to improve your relationships with others. Let’s, instead, dial it back to the most important relationship: the relationship to Self. How can we honour the Self, by getting in touch with how we each, individually receive love?
